Frequent Questions

Who pays for bed bug treatments?

The EPA gets many inquiries from the public asking for intervention when a pesticide applicator sends a bill for services. The EPA's role in bed bugs is limited to regulating pesticides that are used to control them. We have no control or influence over contracts between pesticide applicators and homeowners, landlords, or tenants. You might check with your local health department to see if they can help you out.

For issues within the Agency's jurisdiction, please see the EPA's bed bugs web pages.
